A 21-year-old man was charged in court Wednesday with second-degree murder.

Pascal Gendron Rousseau is accused of stabbing and killing a 47-year-old man Tuesday night in Montreal's 13th murder of the year.

Police say it began on De La Gauchetiere St. near Berri St. with the two men arguing over drugs. Police say the younger man, 21-years-old, then pulled out a knife and stabbed a 47-year-old man several times in the upper body before he ran away.

The older man collapsed and witnesses called for emergency help. Paramedics rushed the stabbing victim to hospital but his wounds were too severe and he passed away.

Police were able to promptly track down the suspect and arrest him. Officers spent the night questioning the man to determine a motive for his actions.
