MONTREAL--A woman who faces a criminal charge for posting online a photo of graffiti showing a Montreal police commander with a bullet in his head will return to court next month.

Twenty-year-old Jennifer Pawluck is charged with criminal harassment.

The picture she snapped a few weeks ago is of a graffiti drawing of Montreal police commander Ian Lafreniere.

She did not draw the graffiti of the longtime police spokesman, who is one of the most visible faces of the force.

Pawluck appeared in a Montreal courtroom today and saw her case put off until May 24 when her trial date may be set.

Pawluck and her lawyer, Denis Poitras, believe the charge is exaggerated.

A Montreal police spokeswoman has said a prosecutor signed off on the arrest and that there is more to the case that can't be publicly discussed.
