The Trinity Memorial Church, which has served NDG for 90 years, will close in 2017.
The Anglican Diocese of Montreal said the closure is due to a lack of finances.
Volunteers at the church, which also houses the NDG Food Depot, have been looking for a permanent home for three years.
“We don’t know when we will be forced to leave, we don’t know where we’re going and we don’t know when that will be when we actually do find the place,” said Food Depot Executive Director Daniel Rotman.
Plans are underway to help the church’s parishioners find a new house of worship.
