The federal Conservatives must come clean and explain their ties to the scandal-plagued provincial party Action democratique du Quebec, says Bloc Quebecois Leader Gilles Duceppe.

Duceppe says his own party has been straightforward about its ties to the separatist Parti Quebecois.

Now he wants the same clarity about what role the federal Tories have played in organizing for the ADQ.

The ADQ's new leader has resigned, after just 23 days on the job, and says he plans to inform police about financing irregularities within the party.

Duceppe notes that the federal Tories appear to have been involved with the ADQ - like, for instance, Sen. Leo Housakos, who was once in charge of the ADQ's fundraising.
