Traffic has yet to return to normal on Highway 20 Thursday morning, more than nine hours after a tanker truck overturned in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday near the Highway 20 eastbound access ramp for Highway 30.
The driver of the truck lost control and hit a signpost, which knocked the truck onto its side, rupturing the tank and spilling a sticky mess across the highway.
Authorities have not said what was being carried in the truck, but they said it was not toxic.
The driver of the truck was hurt in the crash, and first responders pulled him from the crushed cabin and rushed him to hospital.
He is expected to survive.
As of 7:30 a.m. Transport Quebec has yet to reopen the access ramp between Highway 20 and Highway 30.
