Transport Quebec is closing a stretch of road just east of the MUHC Superhospital for at least two months.
The ministry is closing Glen Rd. and part of De Courcelle St. between Ste. Catherine St. and St. Antoine St. as of Nov. 23.
Local traffic will be allowed on the roads, such as people going to Neron Cycles or the Westmount municipal plant on that street, but through traffic will be banned.
The sidewalk on the west side of the road will be open to pedestrians and to cyclists.
The only possible detours are via Decarie Blvd. or much further east, via Greene or Atwater Ave.
Transport Quebec said the closure is necessary because of work being done on the Turcot Interchange.
The roads are scheduled to re-open in mid-January 2016.
