Montreal police are investigating after the riding office of Parti Quebecois candidate Daniel Breton was vandalized Thursday.
Police say the vandals struck sometime between midnight and 5 a.m.
A brick was thrown, shattering the door and the entrance was spray-painted red .
Breton is running in the Sainte Marie – Saint Jacques riding, which encompasses parts of the Ville Marie and Plateau Mont Royal boroughs.
There are no suspects in the case, police say.
The riding was notably at the centre of a recent controversy involving fears over voter fraud, a charge that was subsequently debunked by Quebec’s Director General of Elections.
