Beloeil diver Pamela Ware is walking away from the World Series of Diving in London with a bronze medal for her work on the three-metre board.

The hardware adds to the other awards returning to the Montreal area, as Meaghan Benfeito of Montreal and Laval's Roseline Filion won a bronze Friday on the synchronized 10 metres.

Ware’s third-place finish trailed only Chinese divers Zi He, who won with 360.15 points and Han Wang, who scored 359.00. Ware tallied 335.25 points.

“I was stressed about this competition because it counts for qualifying for the World Cup and the Commonwealth Games,” said Ware.” It was a demanding week of training, so in the end I was pretty emotional. I think for the next competition I will feel less pressure and it will help.”

Jennifer Abel of Laval finished fifth with 321.60 points, earning her best result of the season.
