As snow continues to fall, the City of Montreal is preparing to begin its second snow removal operation on Tuesday at 7 a.m.

“Residents are invited to keep an eye on the information and take simple steps to speed up the operation,” the city said in a press release.

The city said that boroughs can start loading snow from certain public transport infrastructure like reserved lanes, drop-off points and school zones.

About 3,000 people and 2,500 snow-removal vehicles will be involved in the operation covering the city’s 10,000-kilometre road network.

Residents can monitor the progress on the city’s website or on the Info-neige app.

For those needing to find parking while their street is being cleared, the city has over 8,000 spaces that are available from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.

The Info-Remorquage system will help find vehicles that have been towed.
