MONTREAL -- Forward Tomas Fleischmann and the Montreal Canadiens agreed to a one-year contract reportedly worth $750,000 on Sunday.

The 31-year-old Fleischmann played 66 games with the Florida Panthers and Anaheim Ducks in 2014-15, scoring eight times and adding 19 assists.

Fleischmann, from Koprivnice, Czech Republic, has 123 goals and 187 assists over 581 regular season games with the Washington Capitals, Colorado Avalanche, Florida and Anaheim. He has served 168 penalty minutes.

He added four goals and five assists in 35 career playoff games in the NHL.

Fleischmann was invited as a professional try out to the Canadiens' training camp. He appeared in four pre-season games, scoring once and adding two assists.
