The Montreal-bound lanes of the Mercier Bridge will be closed on Nov. 2 from midnight until 5 p.m.

Repairs are scheduled on the Federal section of the bridge, set to take place at the junction between both Montreal-bound lanes.

The location of the repairs makes it impossible for either Montreal-bound lane to remain open for drivers until the work is finished.

The lanes may be open earlier than anticipated, depending on speed of the repairs.

Both lanes heading towards the South Shore will remain open, as usual.

The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated recommends that commuters use alternative options such as AutoRoute 30,  the Jacques Cartier, Victoria or Champlain bridges when travelling to Montreal.
