Police arrested three people overnight following a high-speed chase north of Montreal.
It's not certain what prompted police to chase the car, but the incident began at 1:40 a.m. when Surete du Quebec officers wanted to stop a vehicle at the corner of Martigny and Roland Godard in St. Jerome.
Instead of halting, the driver sped off, heading south on Highway 15 and driving 30 km to Ste. Rose, Laval, in just ten minutes before being stopped by a spike belt other officers placed in the road.
The damage to the car's tires forced the driver to stop and the three people inside tried to escape on foot, but were all apprehended on Blvd. du Souvenir.
Nobody was injured, and one squad car suffered minor damage in the chase.
