A residential property in Repentigny was heavily damaged by fire on Tuesday night.

Firefighters said they received a call at around 11:45. With assistance from firefighters from Terrebonne and Montcalm, the fire was brought under control.

Officials said the fire started outside and spread to the roof and the cause of the fire was accidental.

No residents were home at the time and no injuries were reported. Two huskies were rescued from the basement and were not harmed.
