VAUDREUIL-DORION -- Bloc Quebecois Leader Gilles Duceppe is urging the NDP's Tom Mulcair to clarify his position on Energy East, accusing his political opponent of delivering different messages depending on where he is speaking.
Duceppe says the NDP leader came out in support of the pipeline project during a speech in Toronto while saying he opposed it in an interview with "L'Actualite" magazine.
The Bloc leader was speaking in Vaudreuil-Dorion, just off the western tip of the island of Montreal.
It is one of the communities the controversial pipeline would cross.
Duceppe also says he is convinced the Bloc will bounce back from its dismal showing in 2011, when it won only four out of 75 ridings in the province and he lost his own seat.
He points out that the Conservatives eventually rebounded after winning only two seats nationally in 1993.
