Several cars were set on fire Thursday evening in Saint Lazare, about the same time as an armoured car robbery was taking place at a nearby shopping centre.
Arson investigators went to the location on St. Louis Rd. after firefighters had put out the flames.
Three cars were heavily damaged.
Several people are speculating that the car fires were used as a distraction by the people robbing the armoured car, but at this point the Surete du Quebec is hesitating to draw any link between the two events.
