A brick wall collapsed Tuesday morning on at the corner of St. Denis St. and Liege St.
Nobody was hurt when the bricks fell because the sidewalk had already been blocked off for several days.
People in the area had noticed the bricks on the wall were buckling and needed to be repaired.
Several vehicles parked on the street were damaged by falling bricks.
"The sidewalk had already been blocked off. Now police are blocking traffic on Liege St. between St. Denis and Drolet," said Montreal police officer Andre Leclerc.
The street will remain closed until authorities know the bricks remaining on the wall are not in danger of imminent collapse.
