MONTREAL - A firebug struck a Montreal neighbourhood near Parc Lafontaine early Wednesday morning.

"Between 2 and 3 A.M., basically five arsons [were set] behind stores on houses on Mont Royal, Marie-Anne, Christophe-Colomb and St. Andre," said Const. Danny Richer of the Montreal police department.

In each case, damage caused by the deliberately-set fire was minimal.

Police arrested one man, 24, soon after the fires were started.
