Several services and stores will be closed or operate on a revised schedule for Canada Day, Friday, July 1. Here is a partial list:

City of Montreal offices, including Acces Montreal offices and borough offices, are closed.

The 311 information line is running.

Household garbage and recycling pickup will take place according to the regular schedules.

A housing reference service operated by the city to help low-income households who will be without a home on July 1 can be reached via 514-868-4002.

Ecocentres will be open according to the regular summer schedule.

Public markets will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., but the Bonsecours Market will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Arenas, swimming pools, sports centres, libraries and cultural centres follow varied schedules set by their respective boroughs. Residents are asked to contact personnel at these facilities.

The Biodome, Botannical Garden and the Insectarium will be opened from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Claude Robillard complex will be closed, but outdoor tennis courts will be open.

The Pointe-a-Calliere Montreal Museum of Archaeology and History will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Federal and provincial government offices will be closed.

Banks will be closed.

Municipal court and all service points will be closed.

All parking meters will remain in operation and parking signs will remain in effect.

Canada Post offices will be closed. There will be no regular mail delivery or collection.

STM buses and metros will operate on a holiday schedule. Visit their website for information.

AMT: All trains will run on a Sunday schedule.

Laval buses will run on a Sunday schedule and Longueuil public transit will run on a Saturday schedule.

Most retail stores will be closed, but many pharmacies and supermarkets are open.

The majority of SAQ stores will be open, except those located inside buildings that are closed (malls, etc.)
