SALT LAKE CITY - A recently crowned U.S. beauty pageant winner is facing charges of bomb possession for allegedly throwing homemade bombs from a car.
Kendra McKenzie Gill, who was crowned Miss Riverton in Utah, was arrested last weekend with three people who face the same set of four felony charges.
Prosecutor Blake Nakamura says the charges were submitted to court late Friday.
The 18-year-olds were arrested Saturday after driving around and allegedly tossing plastic bottles of caustic chemicals and shrapnel at people they knew.
Nakamura says it may have been a prank and nobody was injured, but prosecutors are taking the case seriously.
Each felony charge is punishable by one to 15 years in prison.
