The Surete du Quebec is giving a fresh new look to its patrol cars.

The bolder design will “combine safety, visibility and aesthetics,” the police force said in a Facebook post.

They say the goal is to maximize identification and perception by opting for black and white contrast as well as reflective strips.

They say the design will prove to be a major asset during sunny weather, snowfall and fog.

The roll-out of the new look on all the SQ vehicles will happen gradually and take about three years.
