Sûreté du Québec officers have found a missing Saint-Hyacinthe woman dead.
She had been missing since Wednesday.
Diane Ferron, 65, was last seen in her home on Champêtre St. in the Saint-Thomas-D'Aquin sector.
Sûreté du Québec patrollers were using all-terrain vehicles Saturday morning in an area north of Highway 20 in Saint-Hyacinthe, as well as searching by foot for the woman.
Her lifeless body was discovered by police at 11:45 a.m. in a ditch next to a road about two kilometres from her home. No vital signs or traces of violence on her body were found on her body, and police don't believe there is any criminal element involved. Her family stated that she had no history of mental illness or serious health problems.
Police are investigating and an autopsy will be performed.
