Missing swimmer in Pointes des Cascades found dead

Police have found the body of a man who went missing while swimming in the Pointes des Cascades canal on Thursday.

The 24-year-old man is from Pierrefonds and went missing at 6:30 p.m. Police said he was at the canal with family and friends but nobody saw him enter the water.

The area is not open for swimming as it is known to be unsafe.
