A 25-year-old man was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery after being found cut and bleeding on the southern tip of Crescent street just after 2 a.m. Friday.
The victim in serious condition after likely being attacked with a sharp object in a laneway to the west of Crescent.
He is believed to have been stabbed and then staggered bleeding to the popular strip of nightclubs south of Ste.Catherine where onlookers alerted police.
Police had no suspects as of 7 a.m. Friday.
