A 55-year-old man is dead after his car flipped over and caught fire in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve early Sunday morning.
Around 2:20 a.m. a car heading east on Notre Dame St. E lost control and rolled several times.
A passenger inside the car, a man in his 30s, managed to escape inside, while the other was trapped.
Firefighters tried to extinguish the flames in time to save him, but it was too late.
Police say speed may have played a role in the crash.
