Jerome Charlebois, son of famous singer Robert Charlebois, received a $160 ticket Tuesday for honking his car's horn.
Charlebois was not at the game on Tuesday but drove downtown and was near the Bell Centre when he encountered a crowd of fans streaming out of the hockey arena.
Joining in the celebrations Charlebois honked his horn while on Rene Levesque Blvd., and says he was promptly pulled over by an officer and handed a ticket: $160 for disturbing the peace.
Charlebois told the Journal de Montreal the officer did not even ask for his license, but seemed to have a stack of fines in hand, ready to be distributed to offenders.
He plans to contest the ticket.
