A fire damaged an automotive plant that is one of the largest employers in the Eastern Townships early Wednesday morning.
The blaze broke out in the Waterville TG plant in the town of the same name, which lies about 15 km south of Sherbrooke, at 4:00 a.m.
The factory, which makes sealing systems for major car companies, runs 24 hours per day and has been open since 1952.
The extent of the damage and cause of the fire are not yet known.
