Police in Otterburn Park are looking for leads after finding an incinerated corpse inside a car on fire on Chemin des Trente about 4:30 a.m. Sunday.
The body was so badly burned police cannot determine the sex or age of the victim.
Even the car cannot be identified because the blaze also destroyed the car’s vehicle identification number.
It’s not known how the fire started but police hope to gather more information and an autopsy will be performed later this week to try to identify the body.
Otterburn Park is a south shore town of about 8,000 which sits 35 km east of downtown Montreal.
