A number of roads, ramps and bridges will be closed this weekend because of road construction and the annual Tour de L’ile.

Turcot Interchange

Work begins to prepare for the St. Jacques Bridge demolition.

Three ramps on the Turcot Interchange will be closed as of 11:59pm on Friday June 3. This will last until Saturday at 6:00 pm.

  • Complete closure of Highway 15 southbound in the interchange.
  • Complete closure of ramp leading from Highway 20 eastbound to Highway 15 south.
  • Complete closure of ramp leading from Highway 720 westbound to Highway 15 south.

Drivers should also avoid the de la Verendrye boulevard entrance to Hightway 15 south which will be closed overnight Saturday from 12:30 am – 8:00 am.

 

Mercier Bridge

The Mercier Bridge will be partially closed this weekend from Friday, June 3 (10 p.m.) and Monday, June 6 (5 a.m.) ,

Prepatory work on the bridge will take place on the upstream section, with traffic reduced to one lane on the downstream section.

This includes closures of two access ramps:

  • Closure of the access ramp from Montreal towards Châteauguay.
  • Closure of the access ramp from La Prairie towards Montreal.

 

Tour de l’Ile : Closure of Jacques Cartier Bridge

The Tour La Nuit takes place Friday evening east of Mount Royal, with riders going from the mountain to Ahuntsic-Cartierville and back.

25,000 cyclists who will take part in the 30th annual Tour de l’île  on Sunday June 5, 2016. The Jacques Cartier Bridge will be completely closed during the day.

  • Complete closure of the Jacques Cartier Bridge from 8:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m.
  • Gradual lane re-opening towards Longueuil starting from 10:50 a.m.
  • One lane opened in each direction starting at 12:00 p.m.
  • The bridge will be fully re-opened at 1:15 p.m.
