A body found in Riviere des Prairies Wednesday afternoon belongs to 31-year-old Marc-Andre Simoneau, missing since last Friday.
Simoneau left a party in Beloeil Friday night and was supposed to be headed to his girlfriend’s home in Ile Perrot.
His car was found on the side of Highway 40 near the Cote Vertu exit that same night. The car was damaged, but there was no sign of Simoneau. His keys and wallet were missing from the vehicle.
The body was spotted by someone living on the banks of the river, who then called police.
Police are investigating.
