Police have arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with the death of a woman in her sixties, who was shot Saturday night in Lachine.
Police rushed to an apartment at 345 Camille St. in the Ville St. Pierre section of Lachine at around 10:45 p.m. upon reports of gunshots and discovered the woman with serious injuries to the upper body.
She was transported to hospital where she was listed in critical condition but late Sunday morning had died of her wounds.
Another man in his twenties also suffered wounds but is expected to survive.
Police did not state what connection, if any, the suspect has with the murder victim.
The murder is the 11th in Montreal in 2014.
