A motorist narrowly escaped injury when heavy truck parts fell onto his car from an overhead highway ramp early Monday morning.
The accident occurred when a truck flipped while navigating a turn on the Highway 40 eastbound access ramp to the Laurentian Autoroute at about 2:15 a.m. Monday.
Part of the cargo - a load of truck parts - fell from the truck onto traffic below, hitting a vehicle travelling westbound.
The driver of that vehicle was not injured.
The truck driver was transported to hospital for nervous shock and the access ramp was reopened at about 11 a.m.
Speed was not considered a factor in the mishap.
