Nobody was home when a fire started burning at a house in Brossard early Thursday morning.
Around 3 a.m. flames started outside the house on Alfred St. near Lapiniere Blvd.
Firefighters rushed to the scene and were able to put out the flames, but not before they spread into the house. They then informed Longueuil police about the odd nature of the fire.
Authorities said the damage to the interior of the home was considerable.
