The Montreal fire department’s so-called ‘spider-man’ unit was called to Mount Royal early Sunday morning to rescue a woman who slid part-way down the mountain.

The fire department said a group of people was on the mountain watching the sun rise when one of the four people got too close to the edge.

The woman slid part-way down the mountain and needed to be rescued.

The woman was brought down to safety on a stretcher and taken to hospital.

She suffered minor injuries, said the fire department.
