Provincial Liberal leader Philippe Couillard says he will soon decide which riding will be his home when he runs for public office.

Couillard was chosen as the leader of the provincial political party earlier this year, but has not held a seat in the National Assembly since he stepped down as Health Minister in 2008.

"This is an important decision for me and the party. I'm going to take it and it's going to be made most likely in the month of August," said Couillard.

Couillard was first elected as the MNA for the Mont-Royal riding in 2003, then for Jean-Talon in 2007. Those seats are currently held by Liberals Pierre Arcand and Yves Bolduc, respectively.

This week he is is touring Laval and gladhanding the public, part of his summer tour of the province as a whole, in an attempt to woo potential voters.
