A new law preventing union worker placement in the construction industry goes into effect next week.

A website was unveiled Wednesday that will help ease the transition for employers and potential employees.

Employers will be able to access the website to search for workers without union interference.

Employees can set up their own profiles in an attempt to find work.

The site is exclusively managed by the Quebec Construction Commission.

Bill 33 is meant to prevent unions from forcing an employer to hire specific employees or a specific number of employees.
