The blitz of construction work on the Champlain Bridge will end after this weekend.

The Montreal bounds are completely closed until 5:00 a.m. Monday morning.

It’s the fourth weekend of major work on the bridge. Previous weeks have seen major impediments to traffic due to closures.

According to Julie Paquet, spokesperson for the company that runs the Champlain and Jacques Cartier bridges, the project has gone well as the weather cooperated and no problems arose which necessitated suspending work.
