The trial of Luka Magnotta continues Thursday in Montreal after a Crown psychiatrist ended six days of testimony by having his conclusions dismissed by the defence lawyer.
Psychiatrist Gilles Chamberland has said that he doesn't believe Magnotta is schizophrenic and that nothing suggests he didn't know that killing Jun Lin was wrong.
But Magnotta's lawyer, Luc Leclair, suggested Chamberland cut corners, was biased and didn't look at the full evidence before concluding Magnotta wasn't schizophrenic.
The issue of Magnotta's mental state is key as he has admitted to causing Lin's slaying in May 2012, but has argued he should be found not guilty by way of a mental disorder.
Defence psychiatrists have testified they believe Magnotta was psychotic and could not tell right from wrong when he killed and dismembered the Chinese student.
