Lawyers for Michael Applebaum, Saulie Zajdel, and Jean-Yves Bisson were in court Wednesday as their court case on corruption charges continue.
The three are accused of conspiring in two real estate projects in Cote des Neiges/Notre Dame de Grace between 2006 and 2011.
Zajdel and Bisson do not wish to be tried in conjunction with the former mayor and have asked to have their trials split.
The three accused have been ordered to appear in court on Thursday Feb. 6 in order to set a schedule for upcoming hearings.
Zajdel wants to skip the preliminary hearing and go straight to trial so he can, in his lawyer's words, clear his name as soon as possible.
The three were arrested in June 2013. with Applebaum resigning as interim mayor.
Zajdel was a candidate for the Conservative party in the last federal election, while Bisson was a director of permits who worked in CDN-NDG.
