Yet another Montreal Canadien is gone for the season.
Defenceman Jeff Petry has a hernia and requires surgery that will leave him unable to play hockey.
The Canadiens made the announcement that Tom Gilbert underwent surgery on his left knee on Wednesday, and will be sidelined for six months.
Gilbert was injured playing against the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday.
The Habs have called up Victor Bartley from the AHL IceCaps -- he was acquired, along with John Scott, in a trade for Jarred Tinordi earlier this year.
