Insurance fraud charges against Montreal firefighter, two entrepreneurs

Quebec’s UPAC anti-corruption squad has arrested Montreal firefighter Luc Désy along with a pair of construction entrepreneurs who allegedly conspired in a scam to falsify fire damage reports.

UPAC says that the Desy, along with Philip and Pietro Galasso, doctored damage reports in order to increase insurance compensation.

The three face a series of fraud-related charges.
