The unionized workers who make up the Common Front are threatening to hold a one-day strike Dec. 9.
In a news release, the group says though they believe the government is now open to negotiating, there are still significant issues that need to be worked out.
If no concrete solutions to their demands are proposed, the teachers, nurses and public sector workers, among others, who compose the group will be on strike that Wednesday, and they still have two other strike days “in their pockets.”
The Common Front had previously abandoned plans to hold strikes Dec. 9 to 11 but teachers who belong to the FAE union (those teachers work at French schools) have confirmed they will hold a strikes those three days.
