The Quebec union boss known as Rambo has been granted a conditional discharge for his conviction of the crime of intimidation.
Bernard 'Rambo' Gauthier was convicted in December 2014 of threatening entrepreneur Frederic Boucher, owner of the Bexter construction company.
The crime happened in June 2013 during a strike at a construction site.
However on Tuesday judge Michel Parent, following the recommendations of the Crown and Gauthier's defence lawyer, granted Gauthier a conditional discharge.
That means Gauthier will be allowed to continue working as a union representative.
Gauthier is a union chief for Local 791 of the FTQ-Construction.
He testified during the Charbonneau commission about his actions, and those of others, on work sites on Quebec's North Shore.
