The arson squad spent the night investigating a fire at a restaurant on St Michel Blvd.
Around 1:15 a.m. Thursday two people were spotted hurling a Molotov cocktail at a restaurant named Gout Lakay.
Firefighters sped to the scene as the residents of the apartments above the eatery fled the building.
Emergency crews were able to limit the damage to the restaurant and prevent flames from reaching the homes above.
Nobody was hurt in the attack.
Police do not yet have a motive for the firebombing.
