Two young women are expected to survive after rolling their minvan on Highway 13 Sunday evening.
The crash happened around 7 p.m. Sunday near Cote de Liesse, when the driver of the van, a woman in her twenties, lost control.
The van rolled many times along the highway, leaving a trail of debris for dozens of metres before coming to a stop on its side.
Both women were rushed to hospital, with the driver in critical condition and the 18-year-old passenger having what police described as minor injuries.
Early Monday morning police said the driver was expected to survive.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, which brought traffic on Highway 13 north to a standstill for hours.
Police believe the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
