Levis police are investigating reports that a 36-year-old man attacked a woman with both a hammer and an exacto knife in a residential suburb of Quebec City Saturday at around 1:45 p.m.
The woman suffered minor injuries and escaped to a neighbour’s home in St. Etienne de Lauzon.
The man threatened to harm himself after the alleged attack and was transported to a local hospital where he was highly-agitated.
The alleged assailant will be appear in court Monday where he will be charged with attempted murder.
