MONTREAL - It will not be business as usual on the two upcoming Mondays, as many stores, offices and other services will be closed or working on a revises schedule for Fete Nationale on Monday June 24 and Canada Day on July 1.
In general, Quebec municipal and borough offices, service points and Acces Montreal offices will remain closed on June 24. Both federal and provincial government offices will be closed on July 1.
Residents are asked to consult borough websites via the main city portal (click here for Montreal) or to call the 311 information line or (514) 872-0311 for additional questions/concerns.
All borough garbage recycling and bulky item collections will operate on both holidays.
Quebec government offices will be closed on both June 24 and July 1.
Federal government offices, as well as businesses under government jurisdiction, shall stay shut on July 1.
Neither banks nor municipal courts will operate on either Monday.
All parking meters will remain in operation and all parking signs must be respected.
Most retail stores will be closed on both Mondays.
Canada Post offices will be closed and there will be no mail delivery on either Monday.
Montreal Transit Corporation buses and metros will operate on a holiday schedule.
AMT: The Montreal/Deux-Montagnes and Montreal/Vaudreuil-Hudson lines will run on June 24. The Montreal/Blainville–Saint-Jerome, Montreal/Delson–Candiac and Montreal/Vaudreuil-Hudson lines will not run on either Monday. The Montreal/Deux-Montagnes will be the only line open.
Société des alcohols du Québec stores are closed on June 24 but open on July 1.
Montreal's public markets, such as the Atwater, Jean Talon and Maisonneuve, are open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. both weekends as well as both Mondays.

The Botanical Garden and the Insectarium are open all day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. but the gardens will close at 4 p.m. on June 24. For further information call 514-872-1400.
The Pointe-à-Callière Museum of Archaeology and History will be open both Mondays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and both weekends from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
