Fire investigators will return Tuesday morning to the scene of a small warehouse fire in Lachine.

25 firefighters rushed to a warehouse at 2100 Remembrance St. around 10:15 p.m. Monday. They managed to extinguish the fire in 45 minutes.

Operations chief Andre Paquette said the fire seems to have started where plastic pallets were stored. It produced copious amounts of smoke but not many flames.

Nobody was inside the building at the time but investigators do not believe the fire had been deliberately set.

The company where the fire took place produces ductwork and assorted accessories which are exported around the world.
