A Laval firm is recalling anti-bacterial soap because of bacterial contamination.

Avmor Ltd. is recalling Antimicrobial Foaming Hand Soap (Triclosan 0.3%) because it is contaminated with bacteria.

Health Canada tested the soap and found it contained Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria.

Pseudomonas is a particularly hardy bacteria and can cause skin infections. If it gets inside the body it can cause deadly lung, kidney, or urinary tract infections.

It is especially dangerous to those with compromised immune systems.

People should stop using the soap -- or any foaming hand soap whose source cannot be identified..
