Montreal police are trying to find a suspected con artist.
Soriba Camara, 46, is accused of convincing a man to hand over $80,000 so the man could win the lottery.
According to police, Camara posed as a psychic or medium, and convinced people he could bring them good fortune and could solve their financial or romantic problems.
Police said Camara placed advertisements in the Italian newspaper Corriere Italiano, and may have other victims who have yet to come forward.
The ads promoted an individual called Monsieur Paradis who lived near the Guy Concordia metro station -- and could be reached by phone at 514-569-0493.
Camara is 1.71 m and 57 kg (5'7", 125 lbs) with brown skin, very short black hair, brown eyes, and a very short beard and moustache. He is accused of conspiracy, fraud, and theft of more than $5,000.
Anyone who knows Camara's whereabouts is urged to call Info-Crime at 514-393-1133.
Those who wish to file complaints should call 9-1-1 or visit their local police station.
