Montreal police are looking for a woman who broke bail conditions while awaiting trial.

Nicole Meyer, 67, was originally arrested in March 2011 when she showed up at court to post bail for her son.

Instead she was put in handcuffs and charged with being an accomplice in sexual assault and obstructing justice.

She was granted bail in February 2012 as long as she obeyed certain conditions, conditions which police say she has since violated.

Officers are now trying to track her down and asking the public to help look for her.

Meyer, whose name is sometimes spelled Mayer, is 1.6 m tall and weighs 78 kg (5'3", 170 lb). She has brown eyes and frequently wears a short blonde wig and glasses.

Anyone who sees her is asked to call 911, or leave an anonymous tip by calling Info Crime at 514-393-1133.

Meyer's son, Erich Shimon Chemama, was charged in November 2010 with assaulting female escorts, sometimes in his mother's St. Laurent apartment.

He was denied bail and his trial has just begun after facing multiple delays because Chemama has made court filings to demand legal aide and to be granted bail.

Quebec Superior Court denied his requests, and his appeals were denied. Earlier this year the Supreme Court of Canada refused to hear his case and ordered his trial to go ahead.
